Your place

Zone V is a popular residential area which includes Wormholt and much of Coningham ward. It is bordered by the A40 to the north and Goldhawk Road to the south.

There are a large number of independent shops – primarily in Uxbridge Road, Goldhawk Road and Askew Road – as well as schools, places of worship and two parks.

Parking controls operate 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Commuters, shoppers and visitors can currently pay to park for up to eight hours Monday to Friday and free at all other times.

Overview

Residents have repeatedly complained about the noise, congestion and nuisance of minicabs and delivery drivers using narrow side streets as car parks in evenings and at weekends.

Commuter parking, without any maximum stay restrictions, is another considerable problem.

Residents have also petitioned the council asking us to deal with the problem of visiting football fans parking and walking to Queens Park Rangers FC at MATRADE Loftus Road on matchdays.

We are now consulting with residents and businesses in your zone. This is your chance to protect car parking spaces for local people.

You can choose whether to:

Keep the parking controls as they are, OR
Extend controls from 8:30am until 10:00pm, seven days a week, with a two hour maximum stay.

Please note: the two-hour maximum stay will not apply to visitors booked in by local residents and businesses using RingGo.

If the consultation supports Option B to extend the control hours, we will offer FREEparking for residents’ visitors during the new extended evening and weekend hours.

We invite you to complete the short questionnaire which will help us to understand if any changes are required to improve parking on your street.
