2025-0203 - URGENT - Goldhawk & Greenside Road Junction

The following (slightly ambiguous) Notice has been posted on signposts at the southern end of Greenside Road near the Goldhawk Road.

No other notification appears to have been made.



Hammersmith and Fulham (GREENSIDE ROAD)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order

 
The Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, being the highway authority for the above-named road location in the said borough, is satisfied that in order to facilitate gas supply works in the above named road, made an Order the effect of which will temporarily prohibit traffic and introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions in the above named road.
 
The Council, in exercise of their powers conferred by section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (a) as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 (b), and the Road Traffic Act 1991, (c) and of all other enabling powers hereby makes the following order:-
 
  1. This Order will come into operation on Thursday 6th February 2025 and may be cited as The Hammersmith & Fulham (Greenside Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024.
  2. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed to enter, stop, wait, load or proceed in Greenside Road from the junction of Goldhawk Road to a point 10 Meters north of that junction.
  3. An alternative route for traffic in article 2 shall be provided via Goldhawk Road, Conningham Road and Goldhawk Road.
  4. Nothing in Article 2 shall apply to any person causing any vehicle to wait for any of the purposes as are exempted from the restrictions contained in the Hammersmith and Fulham (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Consolidation) Order 2009 (d) under Articles 5(1), 7, 8, 9 and 10, as far as it is reasonably. practicable to do so without interference with the execution of the said works.
 
  1. Nothing in Articles 2 and 3 shall apply:
    1. in respect of any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works, or being used in connection with police, fire and ambulance purposes;

    2. to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a duly authorised officer from the council;
    3. to vehicles requiring lawful access to adjoining premises in so far as such access is reasonably practicable without interfering with the works;
 
    4. in respect of any vehicle being used in connection with London Buses.
 
  1. The Order will come into operation on 6th February 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

  1. Works will commence on Thursday 6th February 2025 and last until 5th March 2025. The dates specified are for guidance and informative purposes only and works may extend outside these dates.
