Dear Residents,
I hope this message finds you well.
I would like to make you aware of a service that is freely available in the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham to support people experiencing and/ or affected by Hate Crime.
If you are already aware, then I hope that this contact will remind you of the resources that are also available free of charge.
Stop Hate UK provides an independent and confidential 24-hour, 365 days per year helpline, known as The Stop Hate Line, for people who are targeted because of hate, harassment or discrimination to talk to someone about their experiences and get support on this. The service can also help if you are a witness or are supporting someone who has been affected by hate.
We can provide more information on this but in the meantime, we have attached some pdfs of posters to promote the service to your teams and clients/service users. We have many more resources that might help you and you can find these and more on our website www.stophateuk.org
Please check our catalogue if you would like any other PDFs email talk@stophateuk.org
We can also share a timely and important learning opportunity: Hate Crime Awareness Training, delivered by Stop Hate UK, one of the UK’s most experienced organisations working to challenge hate and promote inclusion.
Why this matters right now
Hate incidents are rising across the UK, and harmful narratives — especially online — are spreading fast. This training will empower your group to:
- Recognise hate crime and its impact on individuals and communities
- Take safe and effective action when witnessing or experiencing hate
- Challenge prejudice without confrontation
- Be aware of reporting options and why reporting is vital
- Build a culture of respect, inclusion, and solidarity
Who is it for?
Perfect for community members, volunteers, youth groups, faith groups, local organisations, or anyone committed to making their area more welcoming and inclusive. Sessions are interactive and accessible.
